I have compiled a Star Trek: The Next Generation fortune file, as I was unable to find one elsewhere. All Star Trek characters and marks are copyright Paramount.

Fortune is a classic GNU program to display a fortune cookie on login, on demand, etc.. This fortune file allows you to display Star Trek: The Next Generation memorable quotes using fortune.

Installation

Download the latest release of startrektng fortune file.
Run 'strfile startrektng startrektng.dat'.
Place both files in your fortunes directory if you wish to have them available system-wide. This directory for Debian/Ubuntu is '/usr/share/games/fortunes'.
You can now do things like: 'fortune startrektng' to display your skill and prowess with the blade.
